The Children's Ministry at Calvary Chapel of the High Desert is organized to minister our Lord's precious gospel to each child on a level that is understandable to them specifically. That is not to say it is watered down or minimized as much as it is in line with what the Apostle Paul wrote where he states,

I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." I Corinthians 9:22

We minister to children from nursery to the 5th grade. As much as we are able, we break the children up according to age and grade for the purposes of effective age appropriate teaching. The scripture that the Lord has given us to use as the basis for His ministry is Ezekial 44:23, "And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean." This is what we believe our call is; to teach. We are not childcare or babysitting. We are a staff of Children's Ministers providing church service for the children of our body. We realize the call God has placed on us is to assure a safe environment for the children to learn about their God's tremendous love for them from His word and prayerfully come to a life changing knowledge of their Savior Jesus Christ.
